Birthday weekend and other news

I'm a little late on writing this post but I figure better late than never. PLUS I have some important things to update you on so hang tight!

We celebrated my 24th birthday (my birthday is May 5) this past weekend which started with a short getaway trip to the beach. We left Friday night and stayed at a little hotel right along the beach. It was super windy and cold and the water was freezing, but we had fun relaxing and taking a walk down the shore. Aren't those A-frame beach houses so cute?! I would love to own one of those to escape to during the summer.

This weekend also marks my one year blogiversary! I can't believe it's already been an entire year since I started this blog. It's been a great first year and I'm so thankful to everyone out there who follows and reads this blog. I love scrolling through and seeing the small and big changes that have happened to me throughout the year. I hope to continue blogging and meeting new people along the way. You can see my very first post here. I blogged about turning 23!

On Sunday, we went to see this really awesome sculpture/exhibit called Exxopolis. It is a luminarium created by the Architects of Air. My birthday happened to be the last day it would be open for viewing so it worked out perfectly! We had to wait in line for almost 3 hours just to get in, but I didn't mind because it turned out to be a beautiful day. If it ever comes to your area I highly recommend seeing it. I've never seen anything like it before and these pictures don't even do it justice! None of the pictures are edited either. That's just how crazy the lighting was in there! After 3 1/2  years of being together, we are now ENGAGED!!! :)  :)  :)
