Wishing flower

These pictures were taken a couple weekends ago, but I thought I would share them anyway because it was the first time I was able to get some pictures with one of my favorite sights to see in Houston. I love driving past the Gus Wortham Fountain especially on a beautiful sunny day such as this one. They don't always have the water on, so it's extra special to drive past it while the water actually is on. The fountain reminds me of a giant wishing flower (also known as a dandelion). Don't you think?
After we hung around the fountain for a while, we decided to go on a little nature walk since it was so beautiful outside. Like 70 degrees, just cool enough for a cardigan, sunshine in your face, light breeze, perfect day for riding bikes, would be a shame to stay inside kind of beautiful.
We saw this "hazardous conditions" sign, but we kept walking because we like living on the wild side ;) Turns out, conditions were not as "hazardous" as the sign led us to think.
